Thomas brings his knowledge, expertise, and collection of artifacts and provides an interactive experience for your audience, sharing stories of life in the eighteenth century. He researches your community and includes information about local residents who participated in the Revolutionary War. Thomas’ talk includes a fife demonstration, a question-and-answer period, and an opportunity to examine Colonial items.

 

About Thomas

When Thomas Quirk was seven years old, he attended a reenactment of the Boston Massacre and was immediately bitten by the eighteenth-century bug. Thomas learned to play the fife in the William Diamond Junior Fife & Drum Corps, where he served as Drum Major for several years. A native of Central Massachusetts, Thomas is a current member of the Berkshire Fife and Drum Corps and Grand Republic Fife and Drum Corps, and the marching instructor for the Company of Fifers & Drummers Junior Fife and Drum Camp in Ivoryton, Connecticut, where he attended as a child. He founded Experience History in 2026 to share his passion for Colonial America and how understanding the past helps to inform our present.
